About
Originally the Four Hills Gators, we were a founding team of the Sundance Aquatics Association in 1972. Every summer since then, the Gators have offered swimmers of all ages the opportunity to grow their swimming abilities while making lifelong memories and friends.
Summer Season
Our short but intense season begins mid-May with two full weeks of optional pre-season practice. Beginning the Tuesday after Memorial Day, we begin daily morning practices and weekly swim meets. Our season culminates in mid-July with our District swim meet, where many of our swimmers qualify to compete in the Sundance Championship Meet the following weekend. Our team experiences are one-of-a-kind!
Age Groups
Gators practice and compete in the following age groups:
- 8 and Under Girls and Boys
- 9-10 Girls and Boys
- 11-12 Girls and Boys
- 13-14 Girls and Boys
- 15-18 Girls and Boys
The age determination date for the Sundance league is May 1. So, for example, if your 8-year-old turns 9 on April 30, they will swim with the 9-10 age group. If your 8-year-old turns 9 on May 2, they will swim as an 8 and Under.
Gator Pre-Team
Our youngest swimmers are tomorrow's Gators! Pre-Team is open to swimmers ages 4-6. To participate on Pre-Team, your swimmer must be able to fully submerge (including face and head) and separate easily from parents/caregivers to receive instruction. Pre-Team is coached by our Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and our 15-18 yr-old swimmers. Final decisions regarding readiness will be made by the Head Coach.
Gator FUN!
The Gators work hard AND play hard. In addition to practices and meets, we offer a host of social activities and events including a Team Picnic and Free Swim, Color Wars Competitions, and Spirit Night. Swimmers in our oldest age-group, 15-18 years, get to participate in time-honored Gator traditions like planning and executing Spirit Night, 8 and Under Meet driveway chalking, and Kidnap The Coaches.
